    LF850 / LF850U

    Febco 850 double check assembly. The 1/2"-2" sizes began production in 1997. The body is made of bronze and is an in-line modular check design. The check modules are made of glass filled Noryl and held in the body by a center retainer. The model Febco 850U has a union end ball valve on the model Febco 850. In 2000 the model Febco 850B was developed as a bypass for the model 831.

    Febco 825Y began in 1978. The Febco 825Y has a plastic poppet check. Bronze bodied assembly. Check covers screw into the body. The check seats are not replaceable. In 1994 a replaceable check seat became available as an option and is shown as the model 825YR and is available in sizes 3/4", 1", 1 1/2", and 2". In 2006 replaceable check seats became standard. A seat removal tool is needed to change the check seats. In 1989 all sizes except the 1 1/4" adopted a replaceable relief valve seat design as the standard. No special tool is needed to change the relief valve seat. The check springs are not contained. The relief valve spring is contained when the relief cover is removed. R.V. spring tension had to be released for repair. This design utilizes an internal relief valve sensing line. Rubber repair are the same for the Febco 825Y Backflow Preventer and 825YR.

    Febco 826YD is a reduced pressure detector assembly. Original production began approximately 1989. It uses the 825YD assembly for the main assembly and an 825Y 3/4" for the bypass assembly.  This unit is discontinued in late 2016, please call for replacement options.

    Febco 765 is a pressure vacuum breaker assembly (765 PVB). Production of the Febco 765 began in 1975. The Febco 765 has a bronze body. The check seats are not replaceable. Check springs are contained on the 1/2"-1 1/4" size when the bonnet is removed. The 1 1/2"-2" check spring is not contained.

    Febco Series LF767FR Lead Free* Freeze-Resistant Pressure Vacuum Breakers are designed to prevent backsiphonage of contaminated water under continuous pressure into the potable water supply. Its superior design protects the valve body and internal components during sudden freeze conditions. Water inside the PVB freezes from the outside-inward. As the ice forms and expands causing a buildup of pressure, the LF767FR relieves the pressure through a unique relief valve built into the plastic float. Test cocks are positioned at the lowest point of the valve for winterization draining. They feature a bronze body. Maximum Working Pressure: 150psi
