    850 / 850U / LF850 / LF850U

    Febco 850 double check assembly. The 1/2"-2" sizes began production in 1997. The body is made of bronze and is an in-line modular check design. The check modules are made of glass filled Noryl and held in the body by a center retainer. The model Febco 850U has a union end ball valve on the model Febco 850. In 2000 the model Febco 850B was developed as a bypass for the model 831.

    805Y

    Febco 805Y and 805YB are double check assemblies. The 3/4"-2" 805Y was discontinued in 2003. The 3/4"-2" size 805Y has bronze body construction with plastic poppet type check design. The check covers screw into the body. Check springs are not contained. Before 1994 the check seats were not replaceable. In 1994 the 3/4"-1" had replaceable check seats available as an option. The replaceable check seat version is known as the model 805YR. A seat removal tool is needed to change the bronze seats. In 1995 the model 805YB was introduced to be used as a bypass assembly in certain models of Febco double check detector assemblies.

  • 805YD

    805YD

    Production of the 2 1/2"-10" 805Y series ended in 1988. The 2 1/2"-10" 805Y is a painted epoxy coated cast iron check valve body. The internal check hardware on the 2 1/2"-3" was made of bronze while the 4"-10" was epoxy coated iron. The check seats are replaceable on the 2 1/2"-10" 805Y. A seat removal tool was needed to replace the seats. The 2 1/2"-3" have springs that are not contained. The 4"-10" size has contained springs. Some versions of the 4"-10" had to release the spring tension in order to change the rubber check discs. A spring removal tool is necessary to release spring tension. The first few years the 805Y was produced with some internal parts constructed out of aluminum causing premature decomposition. They were later redesigned to correct the problem. The Febco 805YD series was introduced approximately 1988. It is produced in the 2 1/2"-10" sizes. In the Febco 805YD the body material was changed to ductile iron. In 1991 a fused epoxy coating was added to replace the painted epoxy coating which was used up until that time. The check seats are replaceable. The seat design was changed so that no special tool was required to replace the seat. The 2 1/2"-3" have springs that are contained. The 4"-10" have contained springs.

    Febco 870V is a double check assembly. Production on sizes 2 1/2"-10" originally began in 1993. The body is made of ductile iron which is fused epoxy coated. Check springs are contained. Check seats are replaceable. The internal check mechanism is a swing check design with the internal parts made mostly of bronze. The check disc utilizes a vulcanized clapper plate design. The 850 model is a straight horizontal configuration. The Febco 870 is known as the N pattern.

    806YD

    Febco 806YD is a double check detector assembly. The 806 was discontinued 1988. The main unit is the Model 805Y. The bypass unit is the 805Y 3/4". The Febco 806YD production begun approximately 1988. The 805YD is the design for the main valve. The bypass unit is either the 805Y 3/4" or 805YB. Rubber repair kits are the same for the 806 and the Febco 806YD.

    Febco 856 double check detector assembly. Original production began in 1993. The Febco 856 uses the same body as the 850. The 876 uses the same body as the 870. The 876V uses the same body as the 870V. The bypass assembly utilizes the 805Y 3/4" or 805YB 3/4".

    FEBCO MasterSeries® 876VST Double Check Detector Assembly is specifically designed to protect against possible backpressure and backsiphonage conditions for non-health hazard (i.e., pollutant) application in accordance with Local Governing Water Utility Code. This Backflow Assembly is primarily used on potable drinking water systems where Local Governing Code mandates protection from non-potable quality water being pumped or siphoned back into the potable water system.Maximum Working Pressure: 175psi

Check seats are replaceable. The internal check mechanism is a swing check design with the internal parts made mostly of bronze. The check disc utilizes a vulcanized clapper plate. The relief valve is attached to the check body by a flange. The RV spring is contained when the RV cover is removed but spring tension must be released for proper repair. The three different models (860,880,880V) utilize similar repair parts for the components of the assembly.

The check modules are made of glass filled Noryl. The model 860U incorporates a union end ball valve on the 860. The Febco 880 in sizes 1/2"-2" utilizes an N shape piping on the end of the model 860. The 880U incorporates a union end ball valve on the end of a model 880. Production on sizes 2 1/2"-10" began in 1993. The check body is made of ductile iron which is fused epoxy coated. Check springs are contained when the cover is removed. Check seats are replaceable. The internal check mechanism is a swing check design with the internal parts made mostly of bronze. The check disc utilizes a vulcanized clapper plate. The relief valve is attached to the check body by a flange. The RV spring is contained when the RV cover is removed but spring tension must be released for proper repair. The three different models (860,880,880V) utilize similar repair parts for the components of the assembly.

    Febco 825D and Febco 825YD are reduced pressure backflow assemblies. The model 825 was produced from 1975 to 1988. The 2 1/2"-10" check valve body was made of cast iron construction with an epoxy coating. The first years this valve was produced with some internal parts constructed out of aluminum causing premature decomposition. These parts were later redesigned to correct this problem. The 2 1/2"-3" have an uncontained check spring. The 4"-10" have a contained check spring. Some versions of the contained spring check assembly required the spring tension to be released to change the rubber check discs. A spring removal tool is required to release the spring tension. Check seats were replaceable and a seat removal tool was needed to replace the seats. The Febco 825D series was built from 1988-1989. The check valve utilizes the 805YD design of construction. The 2 1/2"-3" have uncontained check springs. The 4"-10" have a contained check spring design. The changes were that the body was made of ductile iron instead of cast iron and internal check parts are stainless steel instead of epoxy painted iron or bronze. The check bodies on 2 1/2"-10" were painted epoxy coated. In 1991 it was changed to a fused epoxy coating. The check seats are replaceable. In the Febco 825D the check seats are bolted in and a special tool is not needed to replace the seat. The relief valve on both models was the same; it is a side mounted relief valve assembly that attaches by a special bushing to the body and can be removed from the check body. The relief valve utilizes an external relief valve sensing line. Repair parts are the same for the 825 and the Febco 825D models.

    826YD

    Febco 826YD is a reduced pressure detector assembly. Original production began approximately 1989. It uses the 825YD assembly for the main assembly and an 825Y 3/4" for the bypass assembly.

    Febco Series 710, 715 Atmospheric Vacuum Breakers assure positive protection against backsiphonage of impure water into the main supply in the event that pressure loss causes vacuum conditions. Series 710, 715 is ideal for hose bibs, chemical vats, X-ray tanks, turf irrigation systems, and laboratory sinks. They feature a bronze body and lightweight plastic poppets.     Febco 765 is a pressure vacuum breaker assembly (765 PVB). Production of the Febco 765 began in 1975. The Febco 765 has a bronze body. The check seats are not replaceable. Check springs are contained on the 1/2"-1 1/4" size when the bonnet is removed. The 1 1/2"-2" check spring is not contained.

    Febco Series LF767FR Lead Free* Freeze-Resistant Pressure Vacuum Breakers are designed to prevent backsiphonage of contaminated water under continuous pressure into the potable water supply. Its superior design protects the valve body and internal components during sudden freeze conditions. Water inside the PVB freezes from the outside-inward. As the ice forms and expands causing a buildup of pressure, the LF767FR relieves the pressure through a unique relief valve built into the plastic float. Test cocks are positioned at the lowest point of the valve for winterization draining. They feature a bronze body. Maximum Working Pressure: 150psi
