Wilkins 950XL is a double check assembly. Production began in 1990. The 3/4"-2" size is a wye pattern glass filled Noryl poppet check. The body of the Wilkins 950XL is bronze. The check springs are not contained. There were three versions of check seats produced. The model Wilkins 950xl has replaceable seats made of glass filled Noryl. A seat removal tool is needed to change the seats. The check discs in the 950 XL were changed to silicon. In 1997 a top entry model was created and called model 950 XLT. The 950 XLV, was created with union ends and 90 degree elbows on each end.

The Wilkins 350A and 350ADA are double check assemblies. Production of the 2 1/2"-10" began in 1998. he 2 1/2"-12" body is made of epoxy coated ductile iron. The check springs are contained. The checks are a glass filled Noryl. Modular checks are contained in the body by clips. The spring tension is contained when the checks are removed from the body. Do not relieve spring tension when changing the check discs. The model 350 is a straight horizontal piping orientation. The model 450 is able to be changed to provide an up and down or vertical piping orientation. Repair parts will be the same in both models. In 2004 the 350 became available in an "A" model. The A model uses a grooved end valve body configuration as opposed to a flanged end valve body.

The check seats are replaceable and the spring is contained when the bolted cover is removed. The internal hardware parts are mostly bronze. The 2-1/2” – 10” were superseded by the 350 series.

Designed for installation on water lines to protect against both backsiphonage and backpressure of polluted water into the potable water supply. A test cock plug is provided to protect against fouling caused by insects, dirt and debris. Assembly shall provide protection where a potential non-health hazard exists. Body is made from bronze, and carries a UL/FM, ASSE 1048 approval for horizontal and vertical installation. Equipped with OSY shut off valves, and metered with a 3/4" 350 double check assembly. The BF Series has butterfly valve monitor shut off valves.

The Wilkins 975XL Backflow Preventer is a reduced pressure assembly. Production of the Wilkins 975XL model began in 1990. Starting in 2004 in sizes 3/8" and 1/2" a stainless steel body assembly was also produced. The 3/4"-2" size is a wye pattern poppet style check design with the disc holders made of a glass filled Noryl. The relief valve has an internal relief valve sensing line. The body of the Wilkins 975XL is bronze. There are three versions of check seats available. The 975 version was discontinued in 1992 and had a non-replaceable check seat. The model 975A was discontinued in 1992 and had a replaceable bronze check seat. The model Wilkins 975XL began production in 1993 and had a replaceable check seat made of glass filled Noryl. A seat removal tool is needed. The check discs in the Wilkins 975XL were changed to silicon. The relief valve seat is replaceable. Checks and relief springs are not contained.

The Wilkins 420 PVB is a pressure vacuum breaker assembly. Production of the Wilkins 420 pressure vacuum breaker began in 1998. The body of the Wilkins 420 PVB is bronze. The test cocks are mounted on the ball valves. The air inlet float utilizes a rubber fold not a spring to generate the air inlet loading. The float of the Wilkins 420 pressure vacuum breaker also has a relief valve to protect against damage from freezing. The check of the Wilkins 420 pvb is a modular design with a contained spring and replaceable check seat. -
460 / 460XL
Ideal for use where Lead-Free* valves are required. Designed for installation on indoor and outdoor point of use applications to protect against backsiphonage of contaminated water into the water supply. During start-up and operation a separate diaphragm seals the air inlet from the water supply preventing spillage. The assembly is designed for use under constant pressure and provides protection where a potential health hazard exists. -

The Wilkins 720A is a pressure vacuum breaker assembly. Production of the 720A pressure vacuum breaker assembly began approximately in 1975 by SMR . Around 1978 it was sold to the Neptune Meter Co. In 1984 Wilkins regulator bought the rights to produce this assembly. The Wilkins 720A assembly is bronze. The check spring is contained when the bonnet is removed. The check seat is cast in the body and is not replaceable. The A designation in the model number refers to a design change in the air inlet parts. The air inlet utilizes a rubber fold to exert the pressure for the air inlet loading. There is no spring on the air inlet. Before 1994 the test cocks used were a specially designed needle valves that required rotation of the test cock to operate. In 1994 a standard ball valve type test cock was utilized.
