Nearly every county or third-party management company that has reviewed Test Gauge’s credentials has approved the program, with acceptance continuing to grow.
Students typically complete the Test Gauge course and submit certificates directly to the local jurisdiction.
Some jurisdictions require a full course review, while others add Test Gauge to their approved provider list based on reputation and broad acceptance.

TREEO is the most utilized training organization in Florida. However, it is not the only training provider. The state of Florida does not regulate Backflow prevention training in Florida; it is the responsibility of Individual municipalities and water purveyors to recognize training.

What training does Test Gauge provide
40-hour certification courses. 16-hour Repair course. 16-hour recertification course required every 2 years with a 1-year grace period.
Question: If I currently have a TREEO cert number, it will remain the same number with Test Gauge Recertification and/or repair
Answer: Yes, Test Gauge continues with the use of that number.
Question: If I skip a TREEO recert, can I go back to TREEO after using a Test Gauge certification course.
Answer: Yes. The number will remain the same, so they will recognize you as a certified tester.
Question: If I am certified TREEO can I take a Test Gauge recert or repair class.
Answer: Yes. If the water utility accepts Test Gauge training.
Question: If I take a Test Gauge certification course, can I take a TREEO recertification course. Not currently. TREEO does not recognize other state of Florida training providers. You will need to continue to take a course with Test Gauge or one of the other 4 training provider courses.
