Ames 3000DCA is a double check detector assembly (DCDA) engineered to protect potable water systems from non-health hazard backflow while monitoring unauthorized water use or leaks. Manufactured from 1986 to 2002 in 4"–10" sizes, it is now discontinued. Its steel body, coated with galvanized or fused epoxy for corrosion resistance, includes two independent check valves, shutoff valves, and four test cocks for regulatory testing. A bypass meter detects low flows or illegal taps, enhancing system security. With a maximum working pressure of 175 psi and a temperature range of 33°F–110°F, the 3000DCA is ideal for fire protection and other low-risk applications.
